Berlin : A severe storm in eastern Germany killed one person and injured 10 others, including three seriously, while a wildfire in the south spread out of control due to strong winds.
Authorities said around 330 emergency personnel were deployed to tackle the wildfire in Bavaria, where difficult terrain and thunderstorms hampered firefighting efforts.
Residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed, switch off air conditioning and ventilation systems, and monitor local radio for updates.
