Manama : Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, conducted a tour in Youth City 2030.
Minister Tawfeeqi attended several workshops and training sessions, and met with participants to hear about their experiences and the skills they had gained.
She affirmed that Youth City 2030 continues to strengthen its position as one of the Kingdom’s leading national initiatives dedicated to developing Bahraini youth through an integrated system of specialised training programmes that keep pace with rapid developments across various fields and help prepare a generation with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the Kingdom’s development.
The minister affirmed that the wide range of programmes and partnerships reflects the Ministry’s commitment to developing youth initiatives that support national priorities and labour market needs. She stressed that investing in youth is an investment in the Kingdom’s future, as it enhances their capacity for innovation, creativity, and competitiveness across various sectors.
Minister Tawfeeqi commended the efforts of the national teams, organisers and trainers in delivering the programmers who helped build an environment that encourages young people to develop practical skills and gain valuable experience.
The tour included visits to several training centres and activity areas featuring interactive programmes in the fields of leadership and entrepreneurship, media and entertainment, science and technology, arts and culture. The minister also visited the Youth Market, where she viewed several Bahraini youth projects.
The minister also paid a visit to the Summer Sports City, one of the initiatives that operates under the supervision of the General Sports Authority (GSA), in partnership with the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Ebrahim K. Kanoo Company, with the support of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and with organisational partners Tarteeb Events and Marketing, and Winners Football Club.
