Makkah : The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced a 22.5% increase in Umrah visa arrivals to around 931,500 pilgrims since the start of the Umrah season on Dhu Al Hijjah 15 until the end of Muharram 1448 AH.
The total number of Umrah pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom exceeded 1.27 million.
The ministry attributed the growth to the support of the Saudi leadership, coordination among government entities, and the continued development of digital and operational services in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
It added that 75% of international Umrah pilgrims arrived by air, while 25% entered through land and sea ports. Pakistan recorded the highest number of Umrah pilgrims with 200,000, followed by Indonesia with 170,000 and Iraq with 130,000.
