Algiers : Bahraini athlete Amal Al Fardan won gold in total lifts and bronze for best lift at the African Open Powerlifting Championship being held in Oran, Algeria, from May 17 to 25.
Al Fardan secured the medals following a strong performance in the competition, marking a new achievement for Bahrain in continental powerlifting.
