Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a written message from His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, concerning close bilateral relations between the two countries, means to further develop and strengthen cooperation, and issues of mutual interest.
The message was delivered to His Majesty the King by Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, during a meeting with His Majesty and the minister’s accompanying delegation.
Minister Merzoug conveyed the greetings of HE the Mauritanian President, and wished for further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people. His Majesty extended his greetings and best wishes to HE President Al Ghazouani, wishing further development and prosperity for Mauritania and its people.
His Majesty the King expressed appreciation for Mauritania’s positions under the leadership of HE the President, and for the sincere expressions of solidarity His Excellency conveyed towards the Kingdom regarding the recent Iranian attacks.
His Majesty commended the lonngstanding relations between Bahrain and Mauritania and their development across various areas of cooperation, amid both countries’ commitment to strengthening ties for the benefit of their peoples.
For his part, the Mauritanian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King for the warm reception and hospitality, and for His Majesty’s commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries. He reiterated Mauritania’s full solidarity with Bahrain and its strong condemnation of the Iranian attack on the Kingdom, as well as its support for Bahrain in all measures undertaken to protect its security, stability and sovereignty.
