Manama : The Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association (BAAA) expressed its strong condemnation of the Iranian aggression targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, which struck civil, economic and infrastructure facilities, in violation of international law and the principles of state sovereignty.
In a statement, the Association commended the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the national role undertaken by the Bahrain Defence Force and the Ministry of Interior’s security agencies in safeguarding the Kingdom, countering such attacks, and preserving its security and stability.
The Association affirmed its full support for the measures taken by all relevant authorities to protect national security and ensure the safety of citizens and residents, expressing confidence in the ability of state institutions to address these exceptional circumstances and mitigate their impact in a manner that upholds security and stability.
Emphasising the pivotal role of the accounting and auditing profession in strengthening the national economy and ensuring business continuity, the Association highlighted the importance of enhancing preparedness through robust business continuity plans and crisis management systems, alongside full compliance with sound governance practices and risk management principles.
The Association concluded its statement by underscoring that unity, resilience and national responsibility have long been defining pillars of the Kingdom of Bahrain, rejecting any divisive rhetoric that may undermine social cohesion, a key foundation for maintaining public stability and civil peace. It also prayed for the continued safety, stability and prosperity of the Kingdom and its people.
