Manama : The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) announced that the Isa Town Customer Service Centre has joined the Mawaeed application, enabling appointment booking for birth and death certificate services, as well as building and establishment address services, effective Sunday, February 1, 2026.
The iGA said the service provides an additional appointment booking channel alongside existing digital services, allowing users who prefer in-person visits to book appointments in advance through the Mawaeed app. The application is available for download via the eGovernment App Store at bahrain.bh/apps, as well as Android, iOS, and Huawei app stores.
The new system replaces the previous appointment mechanism, which required visitors to attend in person to obtain a token. The updated process allows users to book and manage appointments remotely at any time, with automated notifications sent to confirm and remind users of their scheduled visits to the Isa Town Customer Service Centre.
The iGA noted that the initiative aligns with the government’s direction to advance digital transformation and enhance service delivery for citizens and residents. The new system contributes to reducing waiting times, improving transaction efficiency, and facilitating access to government services.
The authority clarified that birth, death, and address-related services remain available electronically through the National Portal, bahrain.bh. For services requiring in-person attendance, appointments can be booked through the Mawaeed app.
The Mawaeed application currently includes 20 government entities and covers 46 government service centres, supporting appointment organisation, reducing waiting times, and improving overall service quality.
For further information or enquiries, citizens and residents may contact the Government Services Contact Centre on 80008001, or submit feedback and enquiries through the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) at bahrain.bh/Tawasul or via the Tawasul app.
