Manila : Philippine authorities evacuated more than 9,000 residents from Catanduanes Island as tropical storm Fengshen approached the country’s eastern coast, bringing winds of up to 80 kilometres per hour.
Officials warned of possible coastal flooding and landslides as the storm’s eye passes near the island in the Bicol region later today.
