Manama : Bahrain is hosting the Manama 2024 World Boccia Challenger, taking place at Isa bin Rashid Halls on November 14-22.
Khalid Al Bastaki, Championship Director, expressed pride in the extensive efforts of the organising committees, highlighting their tireless work to ensure the success of the event. He emphasised the critical role of support from various entities, both governmental and private, which significantly facilitated logistical and organisational preparations.
Al Bastaki commended the continuous support and close follow-up from Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, and Ali Mohammed Al Majid, Secretary General of the Committee. He noted their contributions as a major source of motivation for the team, fostering a spirit of collaboration among all participants.
The championship features a series of competitions, as well as cultural and recreational activities designed to enhance interaction between teams and visitors. It serves as a prominent platform to showcase the skills of determined athletes and raises awareness about the importance of inclusive sports.
Through hosting this championship, the Bahrain Paralympic Committee aims to position Bahrain as a key destination for international sporting events, further establishing its presence on the global sports map.
