Bahrain has announced the death of a 48-year-old Bahraini female and a 60-year-old male expatriate, taking the country’s total deaths to 36.
The patients were suffering from underlying and chronic health problems.
The country also reported 600 new cases among 347 expatriate workers, 249 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 are travel related.
Meanwhile, 414 recoveries were also recorded.
The total cases in the country had reached 17,269 of which 11,903 have recovered making over 68 percent of the confirmed cases to recover from the virus. Currently, there are 5,330 active cases.
Also, there are 137 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 10 are in a critical condition.
So far the country has conducted 403,036 tests, which is among the highest when looking at the country’s population.
Expatriates are having the highest RO (R-Naught) in the country.
